FliteTest Bloody Baron Comes To Life

FliteTest Bloody Baron Comes To Life

Well, after much deliberation, and based upon a lot of factors, I picked the next FliteTest plane to build……the Bloody Baron. I’ve spent more time decorating this plane than any other plane I’ve previously built. Translated, that means that I’ll likely crash it bad on the first flight! However, thinking back, I’ve still got EVERY FilteTest plane that I’ve ever built. This attests to the fact that if you can learn to build them, you’re 90% ready to repair them when (not if)  you crash them…..and yeap, I’ve done my share of repairing! I opted to NOT use a FliteTest powerpod setup. I chose instead to merely mount all of the electronics and battery within the underbelly’s open cavity. I had a slower 750kv brushless motor available, so I used it, along with an 11X4 Master Airscrew prop, for the power plant. This setup should allow the plane to go fully vertical, so we’ll see how well it flies when I maiden it! If things go well, I’ll come back and update this post with a YouTube video of the actual maiden flight….wish me luck!
